There was a time when the doors of development was shut down before the people of Arthunkal due to the lack of proper education. Recognizing the ultimate significance and value of education, Arthunkal Basilica has been very active in the realm of education since 1904. Starting from a Lower Primary School, at present the Basilica runs 3 schools including a Higher Secondary School. Hospital, Nursing School and I.T.I. are also part of institutions of Basilica.
