The School was established as an English Middle School in 1903 under the aegis of St. Francis’ Ministry which later became ‘Nazrani Bhooshana Samajam’. The government recognized the school as an Upper Primary school in February 1904.

Later on, the ‘Nazrani Bhooshana Samajam’ found it difficult to run the school. So they handed it over to Arthunkal Parish in 1924. It was upgraded as a High School in 1949. It is a matter of great pride that this was the only English Medium School between Kochi and Alappuzha for many decades. Now the school is under the Corporate Management of Schools, Diocese of Alleppey.

The School crossed another milestone when it was upgraded as Higher Secondary School in 1998. Ever since it was established the school has been striving to uplift the coastal population in every walk of life.
